There will be an interest meeting for students and parents wanting more information about the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics on Wednesday, October 9th @ 6:30pm in the Mooresville High School Counseling Office.
Rob Andrews, an admissions counselor from NCSSM, will be presenting important information for students wanting to attend NCSSM.

Mooresville High School will host their annual senior college fair on September 25 in the Magnolia gym from 8:30am until 9:30am.  80 colleges/universities will be in attendance.  Seniors are encouraged to take advantage of this excellent opportunity to network with college admission reps and get information about schools they would like to attend.  The list of colleges/universities attending is below.

Princeton Review at Cannon School - SAT Prep



Princeton Review at Cannon School - SAT Prep
Cannon School, in Concord, is offering the highly-regarded Princeton Review SAT Prep 
Course at their location for the third year. The course includes 18 hours of instruction, 
as well as two practice tests, pre and post instruction that are professional scored so students 
and parents can determine strengths and weaknesses; develop a study plan; and gauge progress.

The course will be offered twice during the school year. The Fall Course will run from October

 19, 2013 through November 23, 2013; the Winter Course will run from February 1, 2014 
through March 1, 2014. A detailed class schedule can be found at the link below. Both courses
are available for public school students preparing for their SAT tests. The cost of $450 includes 
all course materials. Registration is available now and is open for both courses; however, 
space is limited so early registration is recommended.

Christmas Assistance
The Mooresville Christian Mission will again be available to assist families who may need assistance with making Christmas special for their family. 

You may contact the mission directly by calling:  (704) 664-2357 or you may stop by the MHS counseling department for the application. MHS counseling department will be happy to forward all completed applications to the mission.

Need SAT Prep for the November SAT?

This course will benefit rising Seniors who either still need to take the SAT, or who need to improve their existing scores. Most Colleges and Universities start Rolling Admissions in October. Taking the November 2nd SAT will allow students to have test results in hand by late November, giving them enough time to meet the Admissions Deadlines for their target schools.

This course will also benefit rising Juniors who have already completed Geometry and Algebra II. It is recommended that students take the SAT multiple times. Taking the November 2nd SAT will allow students to get a head start on the competition. The course provides in-depth content review while also coaching them on important aspects of the admissions process.
