Mandatory Identification Requirement for Students Taking the S.A.T.

ALL students must present a photo ID when taking the SAT. If you are a student who does not have a photo ID, your school counselor can complete an SAT approved letter that will satisfy this requirement.

Please stop by the counseling department to make an appointment with your counselor.  Be prepared to take a picture to be uploaded to the letter.

Thank you.

HBCU College Fair

Students and Parents:

The HBCU college fair was cancelled this year due to lack of participation from the Universities. My apologies to those who planned on attending. We are hoping that we will be able to have some of the HBCU schools visit MHS soon this year but if you have specific questions about a HBCU school please see your guidance counselor. Again, my apologies for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

Kindest Regards

Senior Project Judges Needed
Contact Person - Colleen Kennedy, 704.658.2615

We are in search of community members who are willing to donate two hours of an afternoon to judge Senior Projects.  As a member of the Senior Project Review Board, you will have the opportunity to view the students’ portfolios, listen to their oral presentations and ask them questions.

The Senior Project presentations are scheduled for Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.  We also ask that you attend a one hour training session on Thursday, January 7th at 2:30pm or 6:30pm.
If you have previously been trained, you do not have to attend the training again, however, with the new digital portfolios, this training is strongly suggested.

Please indicate your willingness to serve by responding to this email or contacting me at 704-658-2573.  If you know of anyone that may be interested, please feel free to forward this email.

Thank you in advanced for your support.
